    1. ***ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***This was my first read from Satin and I really enjoyed it. I found that once I started I struggled to put it down. There is definitely suspense and romance and I enjoyed watching both Alex and Liz become reacquainted and then eventually a couple. There was just the right amount of heat for this book’s genre. I am looking forward to reading book 1 in the series and then book 3 which I am hoping will be Fiona’s book and will be available soon. [...]

    2. ThrillingIt's a romance mixed with suspense, and it is one of those unexpected stories. Secrets are always lurking in small towns, but this story has a new spin on suspense. A connection between Alex and Liz, as they are coming together, despite the past childhood relationship. Kids really do grow up and become adults, but not everything can be forgotten. Fate or something throws them together and they have to come together to get out of it. It is well written and thrilling, with both predictabl [...]

    3. **** 5 Cranky Stars ****Secret Need by Satin Russell is an amazing read. Liz, the main female character is not your typical female lead. Thank you for that. This is what makes it so refreshing. When a male from her past walks back into her life, things take a very interesting turn for Liz and Alex. Especially when they get caught in a web of deceit. The drama, action, and suspense kept me turning the pages on this one. Satin Russell did an amazing job with the story. The dialogue flowed nicely a [...]

    4. I loved Secret Hunger, the first book in Satin Russell's Harper Sisters trilogy, and was really looking forward to Book 2. It did not disappoint!Secret Need is focused on Liz, the middle Harper sister, a badass car mechanic who has trouble letting people breach her protective emotional walls. Enter Alex Marston, a contractor working on Liz's sister's restaurant who has recently returned to town to help out his terminally ill father. Alex was in Liz's high school class—he was the football hero [...]

    5. I loved Secret Need. After a crummy day I thought eating a large slice of chocolate cake and then I remember I had Secret Need waiting on my bookshelf. Having read Secret Hunger (vol. 1 of the Harper Sisters), I was primed for an intriguing mystery that would make me forget my crummy day. Secret Need did not disappoint! I was sucked into the world of the Harper Sisters and my desire for chocolate cake was forgotten (which was a very good thing as we didn't have any chocolate cake.) "Liz" is a co [...]

    6. I flew through the pages of Secret Need, and when I got to the last one, I only wished there were more of them! Loved Liz and Alex's story, and the tension throughout the book just sucked me in. There was always something going on that I had to keep reading to know more about - the relationships, the intrigue, the sizzling romance. Looking forward to reading more from Russell in the future.

    7. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but I LOVED this book even more. It had a tight and fast moving suspense throughout. The chemistry was at a constant sizzle without being overwhelming or feeling out of place. A fantastic read and I'm looking forward to the book about Fiona. Also, I hope we get to see more of the MDEA agent in the future.

    8. If you liked Russell's first book Secret Hunger, then you'll love her second book. Where the first novel's thriller storyline had a slow burn that culminated in an exciting climax scene, Secret Need's thriller storyline starts immediately and doesn't stop until the novel's very end. The romance storyline follows suit with the two love interests being forced (by proximity) to acknowledge their growing relationship. My only complaint with Russell's first novel was the pacing dragged occasionally; [...]
