    1. - very simple language with many repetitions - the author wanted to hammer home ALL that was happening, what characters thought etc so there would be NO way for the reader to misunderstand anything (either the reader is supposedly not really smart, or the author needed to meet certain word-quota for the book), like the part with hell-beast - how the beast masters rode on breasts, and those beasts were BEASTS with BEAST-riders, OK? Or how (view spoiler)[ Makani told Naomi how Amelia-or-whatever w [...]

    2. 2.75 stars actually: There are too many characters in this book. Naomi and Makani's relationship is forced down the readers throat too quickly. Darksire and Firestorm sound hella cheesy. She's Dragon Born, interesting as well as being Makani's twin. Let me say, I am still not invested.Good plots unfold over time with plausible development. I won't read the next book and I should know by now with this author. Meh

    3. This is the story of Naomi a half Fairy mercenary, who is out to repair the tears in the Veil between our world and the Underworld. This book takes place in the Dragon Born series of books (2 series I have not read and it made it very difficult to understand a lot of the feelings and behind the scenes nuances of why Naomi does what she does). I truly believe you must read the other 2 series to really get all of the back story to this book. That being said, I loved Naomi's kick butt, take no pris [...]

    4. Dragons, magic, fairies and more! I loved this fantasy world that was created and the characters introduced! This story focuses on Naomi a half fairy Mage. Her character was fun and sassy and an excellent match to Makani a sexy Dragon Born Mage. There were a collection of other characters that I found out in the end were part of this series but the series is under a different name so I didn't connect it until the end where it mentioned the reading order. I wish I would've known this before so I [...]

    5. Great tie in to the dragon born seriesI enjoyed learning a little about Naomi and how she came into the power that allowed her to help Sera in her own quest to learning her magic and defeating demons. Great read!

    6. Someone is kidnapping hybrids and no one really cares. Noone that is but Naomi.Naomi, a hybrid mage fairy, has been the side-kick for both Sera and Alex, so it comes as no surprise that she would get her own series. While this is a stand-alone series, it would helped with the relationships of everyone if you had read the other two series that connect to this one.Naomi’s magic has always been weak, so she has made up for it in kick-butt fighting skills. During a night of weird happenings Naomi [...]

    7. Naomi is best friends with the Dragonborn twins Sera and Alex. While Naomi is investigating the disappearance of some hybrids, she is grabbed by a dark fairy and thrust into one of the circles of hell. She quickly discovers that she is Spirit Warrior. A mage who can travel between the realms. She meets a Dragonborn mage who has been stuck in hell for 700 years. She feels a strong connection to him. Why did the dark fairy send her to meet the Dragonborn? Who is he, and why does she feel such a st [...]

    8. I received Fairy Magic as a review copy. The gifting did not determine the review/rating, which reflects my honest opinion. This book links with two other series by the same author, and though I found it fun to watch the stories interlock, it was frustrating to receive a mini-recap on the other characters, it slowed the pacing and took away from the current story-- simple interplay between the other couples should have been sufficient to garner interest in the other books. I suspect the intercon [...]

    9. Fell short for meI have noticed in past stories that the author makes goofs in combat situations or decisions. It will bother me a little, but this one had what I considered a doozy. Naomi learns that there is a tear in the veil and darksider is pulling through hell criminals to build his own army, who are draining supernaturals right and left, but she doesn't tell the sister, the Dragon or the assassin. Nor does she tell the supernatural police or the council. Someone to handle it before this a [...]

    10. I'm currently not yet half way through this book- it's an interesting plot but the editorial mistakes are driving me crazy. The main character is sent to the spirit realm and there are sections where there's no mention of her having weapons, suddenly in the spirit realm she has a sword and bow & arrows- where did these come from? Do they just appear in this realm? The book starts with her at a bar, then later that day she goes to the spirit realm, later that same day she crashes a fancy ball [...]

    11. Naomi has finally met her match. In Makani, Prince of the Pacific, to be exact. He becomes her capturer, warrior & partner in the Spirit Realm as she learns that she is a rare Spirit Walker. Her magic is slow to come, but she's learning a lot from the 7-centuries-Hell-kept Dragon Born mage. Yep, someone who can also help the Dragon Born sisters, Sera & Alex to finally give their dragons corporeal form.Everywhere you go, dragon magic seems to follow. And finally Naomi has a dragon lover a [...]

    12. I recieved a free copy in exchange for an honest review. If you've read and and enjoyed the other two series(Dragon Born Serafina and Dragon Born Alexandria), then you want to pick up Fairy Magic. All the awesome characters from those series makes an appearance, but Fairy Magic focuses on Naomi, the half fairy mercenary who finds herself with some magic she didn't know she had until she finds herself periodically sucked into the Underworld and that's when all the fun really begins. She and her f [...]

    13. I received an ARC from the author.Naomi has been on a quest to solve the mystery behind a series of hybrid disappearances in the paranormal community. As a hybrid fairy-Mage, the case hits close to home. Her efforts are diverted when she is attacked by a dark fairy and left with both a cryptic note and a spell to unlock her latent spirit warrior abilities. It also compels her to seek and rescue a mysterious, powerful Mage from the second circle of hell.Naomi is a secondary character in the Drago [...]

    14. Naomi Garland is half fairy and half mage who is only just learning her magical powers. She is a mercenary and works to save as many people as she can. This will cause her no end of trouble in this book. She finds herself magically linked to someone who lives in Hell. Popping in and out of there all the time even when it's only in a vision is hard on a girls mind and body. The sexy Dragon born mage she is linked to does make it worthwhile. This is a YA Fantasy full of magical battles with demons [...]

    15. Great spin-off. read the other two series for full effect. Learning about Naomi throughout both Sera's and Alex's installments was nice but I wasn't sure if she would be as likeable on her own. Welle is. This story took place at the same time as Alex's last book so that was an unexpected treat. A lot of the blanks were filled in and all the characters (and their men) were together for a time. And Makani, her dragon born manYes!The book was full length, filled with action, Romance and plenty of s [...]

    16. Talk about all action and blood and thunder. I just love reading about these girls and Naomi comes out special in this story. Really spooky the story involves just about all the paranormal but stays logical. As always from Ella the dialogue is smooth flowing and the story needs no padding outA great continuation in the Dragon born series and as this is book one I can't wait to see how the couple now proceed. Highly recommended for the fans of paranormal

    17. Different, but good differentI really like this series. I so glad I read them in the recommended order even though it seemed odd. I like fantasy books, and this series seems to have it all. The hero's are female which is a nice change with the hunky, deadly sidekick boyfriend. So many different paranormal characters, not just plain vamp, witches or shifters. Great story, great plot, very easy to follow. Looking forward to the rest of this series!

    18. DNFd at 33%I really liked the other two series, sera more than alex, but this was unreadable. The writing itself is technically fine, but Boring dialogue and the whole thing felt blunt, like i was being whacked in the face with chunks of exposition and then wham! Huge plot point rushed through. Then silly recap of previous stories and "the gangs all here" nonsense. I was trying to be interested, and i was in the Makani bits, sort of, but I found I didnt want to slog through any more.

    19. I really enjoyed this book. It would have been a 4 or 5 star read for me if there hadn't been so much winking and smirking. Every and I mean every conversation been the characters had someone either winking or smirking. It was just outright ridiculous and ruined the flow for me. It never felt natural. I'll probably read the next book when it comes out. I just hope there will be less winking and smirking. Notice how many times I said winking and smirking in this small paragraph. Annoying right?

    20. Great storyI've loved Naomi since her first appearance, so I'm glad she's getting her shot. I do like her prince, and this is a good, solid step in her world story arc.Now the not so good. I think she rushed this one a tiny bit too much on the editing front--some silly mistakes left in. I'm finding her 'spirit world' a bit trope-ish, too. Otherwise an enjoyable read.

    21. Holy Hell! This was amazing book. I can't believe on where it was going it had me guessing all the time. I just love the ending of this book and i can't wait for the second book" Spirit Magic" to come out it should be out soon. I would think maybe in August or early September but I'm not sure if i can can't that all for it. Breathe.Jess. Breathing now and still waiting.

    22. Fabulous! So good I read it all at once! I literally could not put it down. Thank goodness it was a weekend day. So now I have another author to catch up on all the books while I wait for the newest in this series!

    23. This is a really great book! Who would have thought there was a secret this big and nobody knew about it, or that it has lasted even this long. It definitely surprised me and I enjoyed every page of it. I can't wait to read the next one.

    24. ExcitingThis is a very exciting adventure into the fairy world. Of course, you have to have your villains, too. The dragon mage is, at first, thought to be a villain but turns into a mighty hero. Enjoy the read.

    25. Loved itAnother great book. I received a free advanced copy in return for an honest review. I have read all of the dragon born related books and every one is an excellent read. I also purchased my own copy of the book after its release for my collection.

    26. I loved it. The characters and the story put me in all kinds of moods which I love. It kept my attention all the way through. One of my favorite kinds of stories. This one is well written. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

    27. Very nice readingBeing I have read the authors other series I enjoyed this tale. It has shuttle romance and well written magic to enjoy.

    28. Keep them comingThe more that I read in this series; the more I can't wait for more books to be released. These books are just plain great and getting better with each release.

    29. Finally, we get a real Dragon. I'm so happy with the surprise at the end of the book. But will Merrick realise what Alex and Sera are? which side will he be on?

    30. Great bookHonestly this series continues to get better with every single book! I love the world and the powers and the mixing of half breeds.
