    1. super fun book, with a keep you guessing ending. I really enjoyed this book, I am a musician so I get it, BUT I think your average reader would enjoy it too.

    2. More of a 1.5 really. Band on the Run is less a story than it is a collection of all the odd, useless famous band trivia that the author knows. He holds these facts together with a lot of filler in the form of a sometimes amusing, sometimes rushed, and sometimes repetitive story about a fictional band called Mellowtron. Despite the rushed storytelling and very hard to believe plot, there is humor to be found in the oddball characters and the drug-fueled antics of an almost up-and-coming rock ban [...]

    3. Think of this as a cross between Spinal Tap and Almost Famous. In book form. Think of this as the written mockumentary of a successful band that collapses under the weight of its own talent and dysfunction. Fun, funny, and ultimately, confidently absurd, Band On The Run is a great book.

    4. A very funny look at the world of "sex, drugs and rock & roll". As a rock geek, I appreciated the historical references to past rocker shenanigans, etc. It was a bit like reading a book version of "This Is Spinal Tap". Very fun read.

    5. It is a quick read but it was one of the worst books I have read. The author's need to include a drug reference every single page was overkill and made for a book that read one note. The band plays a gig, they do drugs and stuff happens. The best pages were probably the last two.

    6. I think I must have picked this up as a Kindle Daily Deal? It's sort of like the novel version of This is Spinal Tap, but not as funny.
